A NJ Premiere Screening: The fully authorized Vincent Price documentary reveals far more than the man behind Hollywood’s master of the macabre. It traces a life of elegant contradictions: a classically trained actor who redefined screen villainy with charm and intelligence, an erudite art lover and seasoned gourmand who found equal joy in low-budget horror and high culture, and—ironically, in his later years—a warm, avuncular patriarch to generations who grew up on his films, television appearances, and iconic voice. Through rare archives and deeply personal interviews, the film explores how Price embraced this unexpected cultural role, transforming from a suave antagonist into a beloved mentor figure whose presence felt both timeless and reassuring.
Directed by Matthew Miele, an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose work explores the lives, institutions, and cultural figures that leave a lasting imprint on our collective memory. Through acclaimed films produced and directed through Quixotic Endeavors, he looks beyond public reputation to uncover what a celebrity, artist, writer, filmmaker, or institution reveals about something larger: mortality, legacy, truth, creativity, identity, and endurance. His films are less concerned with biography than with the deeper meaning of a life and what remains after the applause, the reviews, and the headlines. Historic Lambertville, a scenic town nestled on the banks of the Delaware river, takes two things very seriously: its artistic community and Halloween. In the middle of it all is the ACME Screening Room, an independent Arthouse Cinema with over 18 years of screenings. This year will be our fifth year hosting the Lambertville Halloween Festival and we couldn’t be more excited!
