James E. Dupree: Broken Dreams Film 10 Years Later Plus Q&A and Receptions

The documentary Broken Dreams highlights artist James E. Dupree in west Philadelphia's Mantua community. As two major universities slowly pushed their way through the neighborhood with student housing, urban planning and gentrification, Dupree's art studio was in jeopardy after the city seized his deed via eminent domain proceedings.

Join us for a pre-screening lobby reception. A discussion and Q&A will follow the screening. An after-event with light refreshments will take place at Dupree Gallery at 10 N Union St. from 9-10pm. Directed by Tyrone Brown and Joe Sapienza.

Rated NR, 1h 6m.
