We are restarting our popular Foreign Friday series, beginning July 10th! This monthly series will be hosted by Board Member, local filmmaker and travel lover, Jason Caridi. In addition to foreign films, the theme of this series will include those in which characters are in foreign places. The ways people interact with their novel surroundings is poetically tied in with how they interact with one another.

Our first film will be the beloved Before Sunrise. It is  a film based on a fantasy of many -- meeting a romantic interest on a train and spending a single day and night together in Vienna. The film is of course about much more than that, and is self-aware in a way that uniquely predicts its equally-loved sequels and companion pieces.
